Parking next to the palace

Next to the palace, on Parkowa Street, there is a small parking lot where you can park your car (1; GPS: 50.0110225, 18.2367457). However, there is generally no crowd, so finding a spot is not a problem. Afterward, it is only a short walk of a few meters to the entrance gate leading to the palace grounds.

Starting Our Journey

The palace in Tworków, though in ruins, impresses with its majestic appearance. Originally, it was a baroque structure built in the 17th century by the Reiswitz family, but over the years, it underwent renovations, especially in the 19th century. Unfortunately, a fire in 1931 turned this beautiful palace into ruins, and its full reconstruction was never realized.

Exploring the Ruins

Main Entrance
We walk through the remains of the main entrance, which once led to the representative hall. You can still see fragments of the original portals and traces of decorations. Pay attention to the details carved in stone that have withstood the test of time.
Inner Courtyard
We stroll through the courtyard, which now resembles a picturesque park. It is here that the layout of the palace is most visible: the central part surrounded by side wings. With a bit of imagination, you can feel the atmosphere of past aristocratic life – elegant balls, social gatherings, and the bustle of daily servant work.
View Tower
We climb the preserved view tower, which has been restored and is open to visitors. From its top, there is a breathtaking view of the surrounding area – a perfect place for photos. It is also an excellent vantage point to see the entire palace grounds from above.

Romantic Landscape Park
The garden surrounding the palace was designed in the English style. Here, we find extensive lawns, old trees – including impressive oaks and beeches – and walking alleys. It is a peaceful place that invites relaxation and contemplation.
Farmstead Ruins
Walking further, we reach the ruins of the farmstead, which was an integral part of the palace estate. Although in worse condition than the palace itself, it gives an idea of the scale of the entire complex.

Historical Curiosities

The last owners of the palace were the von Saurma-Jeltsch family. At their initiative, the estate became one of the most representative places in Silesia. It turns out that the palace also has underground chambers – it is said that they hide tunnels leading to unknown locations!
